Therapy that feels like play.

Kids don't always have the words for the feelings they're carrying. Children's therapy gives them other ways in, through play, art, stories and conversation, so they can work through the hard parts without having to explain everything first.

How Sessions Work

Play, art, conversation, whatever works for your kid.

Every session is shaped around who your child is that day. We might draw, use feeling cards, build something, or just talk. For some kids, a whole session looks like play, and that's because play is how children process what they're feeling. It's doing real work, even when it doesn't look like it.

Sessions are 50 minutes, virtual, and held on a secure video platform. For younger kids, I recommend a quiet, private space at home with a parent nearby (but not in the room) for most of the session.

Parents are an important part of the work. We'll touch base regularly to make sure what we're doing in session lines up with what's happening at home.

Common Questions

What parents usually ask

It depends on your child's age and what they need. For younger kids, a parent often joins at the start and end. For older kids, I'll usually meet with your child alone and check in with you separately. We'll decide together.

No. You don't need a referral or a diagnosis to start therapy. I work with kids whose parents just feel something is off, that's often exactly the right time.

We'll set goals together at intake and check in on them regularly. Progress in kids often shows up outside the session first, calmer mornings, fewer meltdowns, a new word for a feeling.
